A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is an accounting professional who has passed Intuit's certification training for QuickBooks. The credential tells you someone knows the software well; it does not tell you whether they prepare taxes, what industries they know, or how they run a monthly engagement.
Every firm below states ProAdvisor certification on its own website, and each is in Boise or a neighboring Treasure Valley city that serves Boise clients. What ProAdvisor certification does and doesn't tell you
Intuit offers several ProAdvisor certifications, including QuickBooks Online Level 1, QuickBooks Online Advanced and QuickBooks Desktop, and asks certified ProAdvisors to pass a short recertification exam every year. It shows the person has passed Intuit's exams. It is a software credential, not a license: it doesn't make someone a certified public accountant or an enrolled agent, and it doesn't cover tax work.
That makes it a good filter when your problem is the QuickBooks file itself, such as a messy chart of accounts, broken bank feeds or a migration. For tax questions, you'll want a licensed tax professional as well.
